Himbleton Church of England First School, Worcestershire

Year 3 and 4 Forest School

As part of forest school the children cook on an open fire. Here you can see two of the class cooking marshmallows. YUM!
The children tried to collect as many different colours and textures that could be found naturally in the environment. Some children collected more than 30 different samples. We created colour pallets using the samples. These are just a few examples.
Eating the melted marshmallows was a messy, but enjoyable task.
We made textured clay prints of different leaves and pieces of bark.
