YEARS THREE AND FOUR'S FOREST SCHOOL MORNING

Years three and four had a forest school morning today. It was the first time I have done forest school. We covered the rules first, so I listened carefully.

First we got changed to do our first activity, colour pallets. We collected small, colourful objects from outside that were different sizes and colours. I think I didn't do very well but I still enjoyed it.

Then we smoothed some clay into a dish and pressed in well textured objects to make an interesting picture. While we were doing that we cooked some marshmallows and ate them with biscuits. It tasted like all the sweet things in the world. I really enjoyed it very much.

Finally, we played hide and seek two times. Year 3s against Year 4s, then boys against girls. I didn't do very well but i liked the activity. Then it was time for lunch.

The most interesting part was the colour pallets because as well as nature you could see see a tiny bit of litter here and there! In addition to that, I also have a favourite part - the clay and marshmallows. Don't ask me why because i just liked them! I felt it was worthwhile forest school and I would do it again any day!
OUR DAY OF FOREST SCHOOL

Our class, Year 3 and 4, had our own day of forest school on Tuesday 8th May.

First we all split up and looked around on the ground and made colour pallets with the things we found, like flowers and leaves. They were as colourful as a technicolour flower!

In addition, we made clay plates and stuck things in them and when we took them off they made patterns. They were rather pretty. Then we played hide and seek. We did different rounds. There were boys against girls and 3s against 4s. I didn't have very good hiding places!

Last, but definitely NOT leaast, we toasted munchy, melt-in-the-mouth marshmellows. I tried as hard as I could to not get mine brown or black. Then we had lunch and changed out of our waterproofs and it was the end of an exhausting but fun day of forest school.

I felt really happy (and also very hungry for some more marshmellows!) at the end of the day because I had some real fun.
OUR DAY DOING FOREST SCHOOL

This morning year 3 and 4 did forest school on the field and the adventure playground.

First we had a little piece of cardboard and we had a bit of double sided sticky tape and we collected objects to put on it.

Next we put grey clay into a blue pot and flattened it out and printed sticks, flowers and leaves on it.

Finally we played hide and seek. It was against year 3 and 4 and boys and girls.

The best part was playing hide and seek. We learnt not to walk inside the circle where the fire is and where is out of bounds.
Year 3 and 4 Forest School

This morning year 3 and 4 did forest school because we wanted to.

First we did colour pallets. We had black card with double sided sticky tape and we stuck things on it with different colours.

Then we did clay prints. We used things like leaves and twigs and other things. Then we went back to the wood circle and had snack and milk. Then we had a play.

Finally we played hide and seek. First it was Year 4 against Year 3. Then it was boys against girls and boys won. We hid on the field and adventure.

The most fun part was the clay prints because we got to take them home and they were really good.
